Nefertiti was an Egyptian queen who was the wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten, who ruled from 1353 to 1336 BC, during the 18th dynasty of the New Kingdom. Nefertiti was known for her beauty and for her role as a powerful queen and political advisor. She is also known for her involvement in the religious reforms of her husband, who attempted to replace the traditional polytheistic religion of Egypt with a monotheistic worship of the sun god Aten. Nefertiti's influence and power declined after the death of Akhenaten, and she disappears from the historical record around 1330 BC. Her mummy has never been found.
